How it works

Our Process

Patient Registration

Patients will typically need to register with the virtual medical clinic by providing personal information, such as their name, address, and health insurance information.

Scheduling an Appointment
  1. Patients can schedule an appointment with a healthcare provider by visiting the clinic’s website or using a mobile app (coming soon).

Video Conference or Phone Call

The virtual medical clinic would use video conferencing or phone call technology to connect patients with healthcare providers for consultations.

Consultation

During the consultation, patients will communicate with the healthcare provider via video conferencing or phone call. Patients may be asked to provide information about their symptoms, medical history, and current medications. The healthcare provider may also ask the patient to provide vitals like blood pressure, temperature, and weight

Medical Records

The virtual medical clinic will keep electronic records of patients’ medical information, including their symptoms, medical history, and test results.

Diagnosis and Treatment

Based on the information provided, our practitioner will make a diagnosis and recommend a course of treatment. This may include prescribing medication, ordering lab tests, or referring the patient to a specialist

Prescription Services

Our practitioners will be able to offer prescription services, allowing patients to receive prescriptions for medication after their virtual consultation.

Follow-up Care

The virtual medical clinic would provide patients with follow-up care, such as scheduling follow-up appointments or providing additional medical information.

Billing

Virtual medical clinics in Canada typically bill the patient’s insurance company directly. Patients may be responsible for co-pays or deductibles, depending on their insurance plan.

Regulations

Virtual medical clinics in Canada would have to comply with the regulations set out by the Canadian Medical Association and the College of Physicians and Surgeons.
